Hardscape Design FAQ

Common questions about hardscape design in Park City.

We design and build patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, and outdoor living areas for Tooele County homeowners. Each project is planned to fit your yard's specific grade, drainage, and layout.

Yes, Tooele County soils are alkaline and can shift with moisture changes and freeze-thaw cycles. We account for local soil conditions during site review so the finished hardscape stays stable and level.

Yes, retaining walls are one of the most practical hardscape solutions for sloped properties in Tooele County. We design walls to manage grade changes, control erosion, and create flat usable areas on uneven lots.

Yes, we complete a site review and layout plan before any concrete is poured. This step confirms proper drainage, dimensions, and structural placement for your specific property.

Concrete is well-suited to Tooele County's climate when it is properly mixed, placed, and finished for cold winters and dry summers. We design patios with the local freeze-thaw cycle in mind to reduce surface cracking over time.

Call Art Of Concrete to schedule an on-site consultation at your Tooele County property. We review the space, discuss your goals, and build a clear plan before work begins.

Larry and his team were amazing to work with. Very communicative and even started sooner than we expected which was awesome because I have a wedding coming up and I needed the RV pad done before that.

I couldn’t be happier with the work from this concrete company. From start to finish, they were professional, reliable, and clearly take pride in what they do. The quality of the work is outstanding—everything was done with precision and attention to detail, and the finished product looks amazing. They showed up on time, communicated clearly throughout the process, and kept the job site clean and organized. It’s rare to find a crew that delivers exactly what they promise, but these guys exceeded expectations. If you’re looking for top-notch concrete work done right the first time, I highly recommend them!

Larry & crew were professional hard working and completed the driveway, sidewalk and porch job ahead of time. New concrete driveway, sidewalk and porch all look great! B & A Pics!

I needed an emergency driveway replacement due to an HOA compliance complaint that was blocking the closing of my property!! Larry came to the rescue! I called him on Monday, he showed up that afternoon and gave me the estimate. Larry and his crew started the work the very next day on Tuesday and completed it on Wednesday. Larry and his crew are very professional, they know what they are doing and they got the work done fast. I'm incredibly grateful!

I was fortunate enough that when I needed a driveway, RV pad, and new front steps, that my neighbor had just had their driveway done earlier in the year by someone that they would recommend. That someone was Larry (Art of Concrete). Getting contractors that are available and timely can be laughably hard. In my case, Larry came out to quote me in a day, committed to a really good price for the work, scheduled the work quickly (within 3 days) and then showed up on time to get the job done. Larry's crew was good to work with, they were responsive and did quality work. Larry himself is a really good guy, who helped us along the way when we had change orders or couldn't figure out exactly what we wanted to do (i.e. we ended up having him pour a really cool plantar box). In all we had an RV pad poured, a retaining wall next to RV pad, a new driveway, front steps and stoop, and new sidewalk sections. This was all for a raised ranch up in the benches which had a fairly steep grade for the driveway. Larry did right by us for a fair price. I would strongly recommend Art of Concrete, they finished the job right and communicated well the whole way.
